The same goes for highway performance, with the Fords ranging between 9.2L / 100 km and 13.2L / 100 km and the Rams delivering between 9.4L / 100 km and 16.5L / 100 km.

Towing Capacity Comparison

The F-150 also comes out on top regarding maximum towing capacity, as it can tow 6,350 kg against 5,783 kg for the Ram 1500 Classic

Both models have similar smart features to improve driveability and efficiency while handling heavy loads. The F-150 has a Smart Hitch system available, which you can control via a touchscreen display, giving information about the weight and distribution of the payload. Meanwhile, the 1500 Classic has an eTorque 48-volt mild hybrid system, improving low-speed acceleration. It also comes with a class-exclusive RamBox cargo management system, which is drainable, has LED lighting, and can be locked or unlocked remotely.

The F-150 lineup also has some exclusive features in this field: the SYNC 4 screen allows you to check onboard scales, and taillamps equipped with an LED visual display let you check your payload in real-time.

Comfort and Technology

Both models are incredibly comfortable and spacious, with the same seating capacity. However, only the F-150 has a moonroof available. It also offers an interior work space package, which includes a foldable table for the front seats and bench seats. Foldable back seats are standard features of both lineups.

The 1500 Classic comes with different seat coverings, including cloth, heavy-duty vinyl, and leather.

The F-150 includes a 12-inch touchscreen display on all trims except for its entry-level model, where the infotainment system is controlled by a SYNC 4 with advanced voice recognition.

The 1500 Classic offers a one-year subscription for SiriusXM on all models except for the first two trims. Those trims have a Uconnect 3 infotainment system, while the higher trims have a Uconnect 5 and Uconnect 5 NAV systems. The touchscreen size ranges from 5 inches to 12 inches.
